Process. Case Studies at the Museum opens with a new work by Mikhail Tolmachev, Pact of Silence, a research project based on a photoalbum of images taken at the Solovki prison camp. Tolmachev looks at how we can engage with this photoalbum today, in the absence of witnesses and the personal story of the album's photographer, and with its new status as a museum object.
