Beyond visual range
Intervention in the Moscow Museum of armed forces, 2014Beyond Visual Range is a project that primarily occupies itself with the question of conflict representation.
Having taken place at the central Armed Forces Museum in Moscow, this work interferes with the established narrative represented by the museum, drawing on its collections of photographs, films, drawings and inventories to explore the relationship between propaganda and documentation.
Each room in the museum was used as a site of engagement for the artist’s multidimensional investigation into the relationship between voice and vision, document, history and memory.
